Our Story

Inspired by Stained Glass

A Passion for Handmade & Mouthblown Glass
Today, our passion for distinctive, handcrafted glass continues to thrive. In addition to our own original fused glass art and handcrafted jewellery, we proudly curate a collection of contemporary glassware from some of the UK's most respected glass artists, including Peter Layton, Bob Crooks, and Will Shakspeare. Many of our studio pieces are marked with the iconic JC signature of glass artist John Corley, a testament to our ongoing commitment to quality and artistry.
A Studio Full of Light, Colour, and Creativity...
Whether you're captivated by our ever-changing window displays or exploring the glimmering treasures inside, our studio shop is a space of creativity, beauty, and warm welcome. Our one-of-a-kind pieces have even been featured in the April 2025 edition of The World of Interiors.
We love to see people stop by, whether they're admiring our ever-changing window displays, or perusing our glass gems in-store. We adore what we do, and we hope to be offering gorgeous glass pieces for many years to come!
Two Studios – A New Chapter
In 2025, ‘two studios’ opened at 108 High Street in Deal - a collaborative space featuring works from both Linden Hall and Corley Studio Shop. Here, you’ll find a delightful blend of glass, jewellery, ceramics, and art, bringing a vibrant mix of design to Deal’s creative heart.
The Stained Glass Studio
Tucked behind our studio shop in Deal, the John Corley Stained Glass Studio is where tradition meets craftsmanship. Established in 1978 after John Corley’s studies at the Canterbury School of Art and training at the newly founded stained glass studio at Canterbury Cathedral, the studio has built a reputation for excellence in both contemporary and historic stained glass work.
Our team undertakes the design and creation of new commissions, as well as the conservation and restoration of historic stained glass. We work across a wide range of settings—including ecclesiastical buildings, historic secular properties, and private collections—with a focus on preserving the beauty and integrity of stained glass for future generations.
